SailGP Saint-Tropez 2025 Betting Odds to Win ROCKWOOL France Sail Grand Prix and Championship

by Emma Harrison

The odds across the different betting markets ahead of the ROCKWOOL France Sail Grand Prix are now available, and they’re a good reflection of the dominance of the two teams at the head of the 2025 Season Championship standings: the BONDS Flying Roos and the Black Foils.

The former are technically leading the Rolex SailGP Championship, though the two are tied at 61 points.

If the Championship standings can’t split the pair, then neither can the Sportsbooks.

Despite the BONDS Flying Roos technically being in front ahead of the big event in Saint-Tropez this weekend, the Sportsbooks are making both teams joint-favorites at odds of 3.85 to win the Championship.

And despite Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team being on 58 points, with Los Gallos SailGP Team two behind on 56, the Sportsbooks are giving them equal chances of winning the Championship: both are available at odds of 5.0.

Is Now the Time to Back the BONDS Flying Roos to Go All the Way?

After the ROCKWOOL France Sail Grand Prix, there will be three further events before we know who the champion is for the 2025 season. They will take place in Geneva, Andalucia- Cádiz and Abu Dhabi.

And if you’re thinking of backing the BONDS Flying Roos for Championship glory, now might be the time to do it.

Despite their odds being the same as those of the Black Foils for the Championship win, it’s the Australians who are favorites to win the event this weekend.

They’re given a 3.33 chance to win on the French Riviera, with the Black Foils out at 4.55. It follows that if the BONDs Flying Roos justify their status as favorites for this event, they’ll be ahead of their New Zealand rivals going into the next one.

Head-to-Head Odds Throw Up Some Interesting Battles

Further evidence that the Sportsbooks think the Australians hold the upper hand going into the ROCKWOOL France Sail Grand Prix is the odds on the head-to-head betting market between the two. There it’s 1.7 on the Bonds Flying Roos, with the Black Foils on offer at 2.02.

A quick reminder of how an event head-to-head betting market works: here, you’re eliminating all the other teams in the event and just making it about the two teams named in the head-to-head betting market.

If Team A wins the event, then they’d automatically win the head-to-head, the same also being true of Team B. But if neither of them wins the event, then the winner on the head-to-head is the team that finishes higher in the event. So if the Black Foils finished second in Saint-Tropez and the BONDS Flying Roos finished third, then the Black Foils would be the winners on the head-to-head for this event.

Other intriguing head-to-head markets have Emirates GBR as 1.42 favorites to get the better of Les Bleus, who are 2.68 chances despite the latter, who of course, are on home water this weekend, winning the last event in Germany just under a month ago.

Elsewhere, the Canadian NorthStar SailGP Team is fancied to finish ahead of Los Gallos. They’re favorites at 1.73, but there really isn’t much in it with the Spanish priced up at 1.99 for this weekend’s event in Saint-Tropez.

Championship Leaders Hot Favorites to Contest Saturday’s Final

Finally, if you think the two leaders in the standings will at least make the final, irrespective of whether they go on to win it or not, there’s a straightforward way of placing that bet.

If you head to the ‘To Make the Final’ betting market, you can back the BONDS Flying Roos to do just that at odds of 1.43, while it’s 1.67 that the Black Foils make the final. Backing both before the event begins would see you paid out on both bets if they’re two of the three teams contesting Saturday’s final.
