Inspire Racing aims to make foiling more accessible as we #RaceForTheFuture. Inspire Racing offers opportunities to young locals that connects them with the pinnacle of the sport.
SailGP's Inspire Racing offers opportunities to get behind the scenes, meet the world’s best athletes and then take part in a racing program on the F50 race course, directly in front of massive crowds.
Through SailGP Inspire, the league aims to serve a leading role in helping to diversify the sport of sailing. Inspire Racing aims to select 50 percent female and 20 percent racially diverse candidates.
Who can participate? Young, energetic people with some sailing experience are invited to apply. Those selected will sail beside some of the world’s best in the sport!
Inspire Racing x WASZP
Imagine flying at high speeds above the water just like the SailGP athletes - that’s what Inspire Racing offers, thanks to foiling technology. It’s cool, fast and thrilling - an entirely next-level experience closer to surfing or gliding in terms of image and lifestyle - but with technical skill and sheer enjoyment at its core.
Young athletes (U21) are selected on the following criteria: sailing ability; willingness to learn new skills; a positive attitude toward the sport and this opportunity; ambition; demonstrating the potential to become a SailGP athlete in the future; and embodies a sense of community and ability to work toward a common goal rather than just gold.
Inspire Racing x RS FEVA X Adopt a Club
In partnership with RS Sailing, This program is all about involving the local sailing community, we aim to get local sailors under the age of 15yrs who are from the host venue. Working with our local sailing federations, clubs and RS class associations; we aim to offer 16 local sailors a once in a lifetime opportunity to take part in the event and race on the same course as the F50!
Critically, this is about the experience and not results, the selected RS Feva sailors must show good sailing ability; a positive attitude toward the sport; ambition; demonstrating the potential to become a future champion of our sport; embodies a sense of community and ability to work toward a common goal rather than just gold.
