What is SailGP Insights?

Powered by Oracle, SailGP Insights is an online dashboard which provides fans with huge amounts of data from our cutting-edge racing F50 catamarans.

Every second of every race of every SailGP event is tracked by SailGP Insights, and fans can follow all eight teams on the dashboard to discover and understand key in-race statistics and incidents, with all the data pulled from the boats in real-time.

SailGP's Global Data Partner, Oracle, powers SailGP Insights, with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivering the real-time data to fans worldwide - as well as the eight teams themselves and also SailGP’s broadcast partners.

As well as typical race information, such as a boat’s position, time and current leg, the F50s provide some much more technical data which is sure to delight sailing fans.

Ride height and ride time - both very important for our foiling F50s - are available, as well as the current boat speed in real-time plus the maximum speed of each boat during a specific race. The heading of each boat and the live wind speed are also shown on the dashboard.

Away from the specific boat data, users of the dashboard are also provided with alerts of key race incidents, as well as onboard video feeds to complement worldwide broadcast coverage.

Historic data of all past SailGP events is expected to be available on SailGP Insights by the 9th December as we build up to the Australia Sail Grand Prix.
