Copenhagen will play host to the best sailors in the world as SailGP visits Denmark’s waterfront city for the first time this weekend.
The league’s nine flying F50s will battle it out on the city-side racetrack of Copenhagen harbor in the fourth event of Season 3. From supporting the home team to watching Denmark’s promising young sailors race on Peblinge Lake, we round up the top five reasons to watch the ROCKWOOL Denmark Sail Grand Prix from the iconic city of Copenhagen.

Nicola Sehested’s Denmark team are gearing up to race on home waters this weekend and will be looking to build on its first podium finish in Plymouth. Can the team secure a spot in another Final and take the win in front of home crowds? Stay tuned.

Currently located in Islands Brugge, SailGP and ROCKWOOL’s open-air exhibition showcases almost 50 of the best photos of SailGP, from thrilling racing shots to the league’s Inspire initiative. - Watch Inspire racing on Peblinge Lake
SailGP’s Inspire program will be the biggest yet in Copenhagen, with 10 local sailing clubs paired with the nine SailGP Teams, 17 career work experience roles and over 1,000 students and teachers getting up close to the science behind the foiling F50. Additionally, 16 of the most talented youth sailors from Denmark will participate in Inspire’s WASZP Racing Program. Racing will take place in the middle of Copenhagen on Lake Peblinge, where students can also sail RS Zest dinghies or test their skills with wind surfing and stand-up paddle boarding.
- Celebrate Copenhagen Pride
Copenhagen Pride 2022 runs until August 21, with the main pride parade taking place on August 20. Pride Square will run all weekend in the city center, with a series of concerts and events taking place across the weekend. After watching the thrilling racing action of the ROCKWOOL Denmark Sail Grand Prix from the shore, head over to Rådhuspladsen, where the main concerts will take place on August 19 and 20.
