SailGP fans have predicted the top three teams they think will make the podium in Dubai as the F50 fleet prepares to do battle on the tight racecourse of Port Rashid.
Peter Burling’s New Zealand, which is currently sitting second on the overall Championship leaderboard with 50 points, was voted most likely to win in Dubai, picking up 33% of the vote.
Two time defending champion Australia, which is sitting first on the leaderboard, was voted most likely to come second in Dubai, with 26% of the vote while 20% thought Ben Ainslie’s Great Britain would come third overall.
Switzerland was voted least likely to make the podium, alongside Denmark and Spain.
It comes after the fleet took to the water for four practice races yesterday; three fleet races and a Final, which saw Jordi Xammar’s Spain come out on top.
Spain won the first fleet race and picked up a second place finish in the third, before triumphing over Australia and Great Britain in the practice Final.
Racing takes place in Dubai between 15:00-16:30 GST on Saturday and Sunday. Full broadcast information and How to Watch details HERE.
