The countdown has begun - there is now just one week to go until the first ever Singapore Sail Grand Prix.

Following on from a seven-week hiatus after the Dubai Sail Grand Prix in November, SailGP is gearing up to deliver its first event of 2023 with the region’s first Sail Grand Prix on January 14-15.

Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalucia - Cadiz | Season 3 | Fleet | Racing

The league’s nine hydrofoiling catamarans will hit the iconic waters of Singapore and race just meters from spectators as the eighth event in SailGP’s 11-event Season 3 calendar gets underway.

The Race Village, located at Parkland Green in the picturesque East Coast Park, will open at 1pm, with racing getting underway from 2pm-3.30pm local time.

Season 3 // Dubai Sail Grand Prix // Australia with Great Britain and Spain in practice

Two-time defending champions Australia currently sit at the top of the leaderboard with a comfortable nine-point lead over Peter Burling’s New Zealand in second. The Kiwis will need to have a good event to extend their slim one-point lead over Quentin Delapierre’s France, while Ben Ainslie’s Great Britain, currently in fourth, will be looking to knock France out of the top three.

France Sail Grand Prix | Saint-Tropez | Season 3 | New Zealand | France | Australia | Practice

After Singapore, SailGP will head to Sydney for the Australia Sail Grand Prix on February 18-19 and then onto Christchurch for the New Zealand Sail Grand Prix on March 18-19. From there, the league will travel onto the iconic waters of San Francisco Bay as the all-important winner-takes-all Grand Final gets underway.
