SailGP fans can retrace the Season 3 rise of the Denmark SailGP Team in the latest episode of the league’s behind-the-scene docuseries Racing on the Edge.

With unprecedented access into the league, the fourth episode shines the spotlight on the Season 3 journey of the Danish team led by driver Nicolai Sehested.

The improvement of the team is charted throughout Season 3 so far - from missing out on the Final race in Bermuda by four points to securing podium finishes at both the Great Britain and Denmark Sail Grand Prix events. Racing on the Edge also examines Sehested’s decision to build out the Danish team to 10 athletes - four more than needed on board at any one time. This, he says, increases competition on board and makes sailors hungry for their place on the Danish F50.

Speaking about his experience leading the Danish team, Sehested says: “Being this team where we’ve always been knocking on the door to get onto the podium, you always get the questions - are you sure you guys are doing the right thing? Are you the right guy for this job? That’s fine - that’s part of it, but it’s also motivating.”

Racing on the Edge features behind-the scenes-insight and up-close interviews with the Championship’s biggest personalities, including New Zealand’s Blair Tuke and Peter Burling, Australian driver Tom Slingsby and driver of Great Britain, Ben Ainslie.
