It’s been six months since the launch of the Switzerland SailGP Team in Geneva and since then, it’s been a busy but exciting time for us.

Team SUI have been busy recruiting the right people, in the right positions, to help set the team up for the best success when we enter the championship for the first time. The team are excited to bring onboard two athletes who have prior SailGP racing experience - with Olympic backgrounds and achievements - and an experienced team coach, to help us fast track our learnings.

At the beginning of the year, we spent some time together at Artemis Technologies, training on their Simulator and last month sailed together for the first time, at a training camp. It was a great opportunity to line up against some of the other SailGP teams and use the time to trial some grinders and female Swiss athletes, who will race onboard as part of the Women’s Pathway Programme.

Meanwhile, the SUI F50 race boat has been in production in New Zealand and will start to make its way to Bermuda, ready for us to take collection in April.

In less than three months the team will make our debut in the SailGP league. There’s a lot of support to get us to the start line and we will be announcing our partnerships and sponsors, who are supporting the campaign over the coming months.

The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to get racing!

Thanks for your support,
Switzerland SailGP Team
