SailGP fans now have the chance to vote for the most tactical and most improved teams of last weekend’s racing in Plymouth, as well as the best overall driver.

Gusty winds and changeable conditions challenged crews, turning the race course into a game of snakes and ladders, with boats falling off the foils and nosediving into the water.

It comes after fans correctly predicted that Tom Slingsby’s Australia, which has so far dominated the Season 3 and came second in Plymouth, would make the podium.

Season 3 // Great Britain Sail Grand Prix // Australia, New Zealand and Denmark final three

However, the second two podium predictions of Canada and Great Britain were not so accurate. Phil Robertson’s team picked up a 1-9-3-9-7 fleet racing record, finishing sixth overall, while Ben Ainslie’s home team was just metres from securing a place in the Final when a last-minute penalty scuppered its chances.

The next event in SailGP’s Season 3 calendar will be the Rockwool Denmark Sail Grand Prix in Copenhagen, from August 19-20.
