SailGP fans predict the league domination of Tom Slingsby’s Australia to continue after tipping the Aussies to top the podium in Chicago.
A total of 33% of fans voted Slingsby's crew as most likely to win in Chicago, which comes just weeks after the Aussies netted their third consecutive Championship win in San Francisco.
Season 3 runners up New Zealand were voted the second most likely to triumph, with 23.3% of the vote, while Emirates GBR came third with 15.8%.
Heading into Chicago there’s everything to play for, with teams keen to kick off the new season with a good result.
Defending champions Australia will be looking to repeat last year’s Chicago victory, while home town team the United States will aim to bounce back from last season’s disastrous eighth place finish on Lake Michigan. Elsewhere, newcomer Germany will have its racing debut and go head to head with the rest of the fleet for the first time.
