Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team has burst onto the San Francisco racecourse with intention, dominating practice racing ahead of the Mubadala SailGP Season 3 Grand Final.

The league’s fleet of hydrofoiling catamarans hit the water to undertake three fleet practice races ahead of two days of fast and furious racing on May 6 & 7.

The top four teams on the overall Championship leaderboard - Emirates Team GBR, France, New Zealand and Australia - dominated the results, and were the only teams to finish on the podium of all three races.

Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team, which is currently just one point away from France in third, put in an almost flawless performance to pick up two race wins, while New Zealand, currently in second place, also picked up a race win and finished in top three of all three races.

Two-time defending champion Australia is the only team to have already secured a spot in the three-boat, winner-takes-all Final, but the Kiwis will still have to perform in fleet racing to qualify.
