Tom Slingsby’s Australia remains the team to beat in the eyes of SailGP fans after being voted most likely to win in Los Angeles.
A total of 32% of fans voted Slingsby’s crew as most likely to win in Los Angeles, despite the team coming second behind the Kiwis in Chicago. But LA comes just two months after the Aussies netted their third consecutive win as SailGP champions in San Francisco.

Chicago winners New Zealand came in second, picking up 28% of the vote, followed by Emirates GBR with 11%.
Switzerland, Spain and newcomer Germany were deemed the least likely to win in LA - picking up 1% of the vote apiece, while Jimmy Spithill’s home team received 2% of the vote.

It comes after Ben Ainslie's British crew triumphed in practice racing, while newcomers Germany stunned with a second place finish ahead of ROCKWOOL Denmark.

Heading into LA, the Kiwis sit at the top of the leaderboard for the first time, but are just one-point ahead of the Aussies in second. Phil Robertson’s Canada meanwhile sits in third overall, while the pressure is on Emirates GBR and France to improve their leaderboard rankings.
