It all comes down to this. The second and final day of the long-awaited Mubadala SailGP Season 3 Grand Final | San Francisco has arrived, with just two fleet races left to decide the three-boat line-up of the winner-takes-all Grand Final. We pick out three things to watch out for when racing gets underway at 14:30 PDT.

Will Emirates GBR continue to play havoc with France?

Emirates GBR came out of the blocks firing on day one, zeroing in on Quentin Delapierre’s France as the fight to the final spot in the Grand Final began. Ben Ainslie’s crew played havoc with France throughout, blocking them in the pre-start and pushing them down the line.

Season 3 // San Francisco Grand Final // GBR and France match racing on day one

The strategy proved effective, with Emirates GBR picking up a 2-1-2 racing record compared to France’s 6-8-6. Will Emirates GBR continue to rattle the French?

Will New Zealand deliver a revitalized performance?

Season 3 // San Francisco Grand Final // New Zealand with Golden Gate Bridge

New Zealand seemed off the pace on the first day of racing, delivering a 4-7-3 fleet racing record. Despite finishing in a respectable third place after the first fleet races, the team is only one point ahead of Canada and Denmark. Will the Kiwis turn it on to threaten the Aussies in the winner-takes-all Grand Final? Or will a lackluster performance hand the Season 3 trophy to a rival team?

Will the Canadian chaos continue?

It was a tense and dramatic day for Canada on day one, with the team involved in several near miss incidents.

France almost capsized in the first fleet race when Delapierre was forced to swerve away from Canada at the last moment, while the Canadians also came close to hitting Australia in the second fleet race.

Racing resumes at 14.30 PDT on Sunday, May 7. Full broadcast information and How to Watch details are HERE.
