Just days after Diego Botin’s Spain SailGP Team made history in Los Angeles, winning its first ever SailGP event, tickets for the most anticipated event in the SailGP Season 4 calendar have now gone on sale. SailGP returns to Cádiz on October 14-15, 2023, for the third consecutive year, making it a perfect homecoming for the Spanish team on the Bay of Cádiz.
After huge success with the first two editions of the Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalucía - Cádiz the city is getting ready to make history again. Last years’ event racked up record attendance with an estimated 98,000 spectators throughout the weekend – the highest spectator numbers to date – and delivered a record economic impact of 56,9 million dollars.
Botin, driver of the Spain SailGP Team, said: Cádiz is a super nice event for us, the most special one. The city and the crowds push so much. The crowds are cheering for us all the time and the city in general makes that event one of the most special of the season, we can’t wait to be there racing in front of our fans.”
Spanish fans will get to witness 10 teams going head-to-head for the first time and will be hoping the home team can continue to build on the success from the Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix, which has currently placed them second on the championship leaderboard. Fans can cheer on the home team on its F50 ‘Victoria’ through a number of different ticket options on water and on land;
- Baluarte Premium Club
A new offering for this year's event. The Premium Club is a unique experience that combines adrenaline and glamour at the historical Baluarte de la Candelaria. From the rooftop of this ancient bastion, spectators will have privileged views of the race course. The Baluarte Premium Club experience includes private access to the Baluarte’s rooftop during the races, premium finger food and beverages in a club lounge setting, live race broadcast on screens and live music. Mahou San Miguel, a new event partner, will be hosting the space and providing a range of their products for fans to enjoy.
On-water Experience
SailGP, in collaboration with the Consorcio de Transportes Bahía de Cádiz, offers the opportunity once more to get close to the action on water. Fans will watch the racing onboard one of the official viewing vessels, positioned within the perimeter of the race course, and with a professional commentator to guide them through the action. This unique experience from the sea will provide an amazing opportunity to see the world-class athletes in action on the F50 flying catamarans and racing at impressive speeds on the Bay of Cádiz.Bring Your Own Boat Premium (BYOB)
Spectators who have their own boat will be able to follow the high-speed racing from a priority position within the race course perimeter. These tickets enable your boat to be less than 50 meters from the action and offer exclusive access on both days of racing. A welcome pack with the flag, cap and bag is included, plus race commentary live via VHF radio to follow the action.Adrenaline Yachts
A premium experience for superyachts which takes place at all SailGP events. The program offers an amazing experience and is designed to be able to enjoy the races from the comfort of your own yacht. This category has limited availability and ensures a preferred position inside the race course exclusive zone with unbeatable views. Those who have the Adrenaline Yacht flag will be able to access other activities around the event such as tech base visits, athlete meet and greets and access to the opening press conference.
- Tech base visit
Tech base tours enable fans to discover SailGP behind the scenes by visiting the tech base located at the Puerto de Cádiz. An exclusive visit to the “pit lane garages” in which the athletes and shore teams prepare their F50s. These activities will take place on October 12-15 inclusive
The SailGP Race Stadium will be located at the Paseo Santa Bárbara where the Official SailGP Fan Shop will be located, along with many other activities throughout the whole competition weekend.

Mahou San Miguel, new partner
SailGP is pleased to announce Mahou San Miguel as the official beer of Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalucía - Cádiz, a partnership with which the company will be in charge of supplying beer and water during the entire competition weekend.
As proof of the commitment both companies have towards the environment and a more sustainable future, all the SailGP and Mahou San Miguel products served during the event will be made with recycled materials in order to avoid single use plastics.
Discussing this new agreement, Tony Alquézar, Spain SailGP Team and Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalucía - Cádiz’s CEO said: "We are very happy to be able to expand the partner portfolio at our home Grand Prix and we are proud to do so along with traditional Spanish companies such as Mahou San Miguel. The passion which SailGP’s spectacle brings, and, especially, the Spanish team among the fans in Cádiz, has taken the city to become a true referent within the league. This confirms, undoubtedly, the potential of the region and the exposure that a competition of such a level means for the city and for Andalucía – as a tourist destination and in the organization of big sports events.
Around the Spain Sail Grand Prix, the main institutions will host cultural activities, offering the visitors the opportunity of knowing the region and some of its traditions.
With the sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Andalusian Regional Government, with the co-financing of European Funds, the Diputación Provincial of Cádiz, and Cádiz City Hall and with the collaboration of the con Bahía de Cádiz Port Authority and the Armada Española, the event will ensure an action and adrenaline packed weekend right in the heart of the city.
