Australia had another impressive performance in Taranto, coming second overall and consolidating its place on the overall Championship leaderboard.
But heading into Taranto, the team narrowly avoided capsizing during an F50 parade down the city’s Canale Navigabile.
As the team’s wing teetered close to the water, the crew just managed to right the F50 before it completely capsized.
The incident occurred at the end of practice day and saw the 9 F50s parade down the canal in front of fans.
Australia bounced back from the near miss to pick up two race wins throughout the weekend and finish second overall behind Emirates GBR.
