Freshly unveiled Brazil driver Martine Grael has been pictured behind the wheel for the first time during an off-season training camp in Bermuda.
Double Olympic champion Grael was named driver of the incoming Brazilian team ahead of the training camp, which marks her first experience behind the wheel of the F50.
Grael led a mixed crew of Brazilian team members and experienced SailGP athletes during the three days of training, which saw the team practice foiling and maneuvers.
Speaking about the training, Grael said: “We had a very good training period in Bermuda, with a quick adaptation to the boat - the entire team is very pleased with the progress."
The Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team will have its official racing debut at the 2024/25 Season opener in Dubai this November, facing off against the rest of the F50 fleet for the first time.
Brazil was the third team to undertake training in Bermuda, following Taylor Canfield’s United States and Nicolai Sehested’s ROCKWOOL DEN.
Erik Heil’s Germany was due to begin training alongside Brazil, but equipment damage caused by the collapse of the F50’s wing has impacted the training camp schedule.
