The conclusion of SailGP’s fourth season is now just days away, with San Francisco’s Championship-deciding Grand Final taking place on July 13-14.
Preparations are well underway for the event, which will see teams given an extra day of training on Thursday before official practice racing on Friday.
The two-day racing schedule will kick off on Saturday, with the full F50 fleet going head to head across three fleet races. Two further fleet races will take place on Sunday before the Championship leaderboard is recalibrated. Only then will the top three ranked teams proceed into the all-or-nothing, $2 million Grand Final.
There are plenty of ticket options available to fans wanting to watch the action-packed entertainment in person, including the Waterfront Reserve located in the middle of the action at the Yacht Club Peninsular overlooking the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
Meanwhile the Waterfront Premium ticket offers prime viewing positions from exclusive waterfront seats at the Yacht Club Peninsula, with beer, wine and canapés provided. Alternatively, fans can watch the action from the water through the Bring Your Own Boat program.
Peter Burling’s New Zealand is the only team so far qualified for San Francisco’s Grand Final - with Australia and Spain in second and third place. But the points are tight - with France lurking in fourth place just five points behind the Spanish. This means Australia and Spain will be under pressure to deliver flawless fleet racing performances to keep the French at bay.
