SailGP’s first ever visit to the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi will get underway this weekend, with the racing broadcast live on ITV on January 13-14.

The 10-strong F50 fleet will take to the iconic Mina Zayed and race across five fleet races before the top three teams proceed into the winner-takes-all Final. With 50 points, Australia sits at the top of the Championship leaderboard, despite not yet winning an event in Season 4, while ROCKWOOL DEN and New Zealand follow with 41 and 40 points respectively.

There’ll be plenty to look forward to in Abu Dhabi, as Tom Slingsby returns to the Flying Roo, new Emirates GBR driver Giles Scott has his SailGP racing debut and Nathan Outteridge takes charge of ROCKWOOL DEN, while Nicolai Sehested is out on paternity leave.

Racing will take place on Saturday, January 13 and Sunday, January 14 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Season 4 // Germany at forefront of the F50 fleet on first day of Taranto

The racing action will kick off at 2pm GST (10am GMT) and is expected to finish at 3.30pm (11.30am GMT).

The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council will be available to watch live in the UK on ITV, with full coverage of the racing accessed ITVX at 10am GMT.

A highlights show will also be available, airing at 11.45am GMT on January 20 on ITV4.
