Ahead of SailGP’s Season 4 return to Sydney, we round up the best SailGP racing moments from the city, including crashes and close calls to fleet race domination and supercharged starts.

Season 4's visit to Sydney will mark the league's 4th event in the iconic Australian city, including Season 1-3's visits and a standalone event in 2020.

Australia won both Season 1 and Season 2, before Ben Ainslie marked his 2020 SailGP debut with a fleet racing masterclass and event win.

Notable Season 2 incidents included a shocking crash between Emirates GBR and Japan in the 2nd fleet race and a supercharged start by New Zealand, which picked up a speed of 89 km/h as it crossed the start line of the 4th fleet race.

Season 3's Sydney visit meanwhile, which was cut short by an extreme weather event, France dominated fleet racing to take home the event trophy, while Emirates GBR experienced a dramatic incident when grinder Matt Gotrel fell overboard.
