Fans can go behind-the-scenes of France, Spain and Canada’s race against time to secure their place on next season’s start line in the latest episode of Racing on the Edge.

The 10th installment of Season 4’s docuseries shines a spotlight on the three teams threatened with being dropped from the league if they do not find full commercial backing in time for the 2024/2025 Season.

Filmed during Season 4’s visits to New York and Halifax, Racing on the Edge includes interviews with France driver Quentin Delapierre and Canada driver Phil Robertson, the latter of whom admits: “Our neck is on the chopping block - we could be one of the teams kicked out.”

SailGP managing director Andy Thompson meanwhile adds fuel to the fire, admitting ‘it could be Canada’ when pressed on which team could be leaving.

But following success at the team’s home event in Halifax, fortunes look to be turning around for Robertson’s crew, leading to a shocking suggestion by SailGP CEO Russell Coutts.

“What if they [Canada, France and Spain] all found their funding? Well then it leaves one other team that could be dropped - New Zealand.”

Racing on the Edge features unprecedented access and up close interviews with the Championship’s biggest personalities, including Australia driver Tom Slingsby, New Zealand’s Peter Burling and CEO Russell Coutts.
