There was drama in Aarhus on Tuesday morning as the home team capsized during a practice session ahead of this week's ROCKWOOL Denmark Sail Grand Prix.

The Vikings, skippered by Nicolai Sehested, currently sit second-last in the Season Championship and big things are expected of the team at their home event on the Aarhus O.

But their preparations - with racing taking place on Friday and Saturday - suffered a huge blow on Tuesday morning as the Danes' F50 capsized in the rough weather.

In windy conditions with possible volatile gusts reaching 27 knots and with a thunderstorm risk forecast, Sehested and his team could not keep their F50 under control and found themselves in the water, with investigations to take place to determine the level of damage suffered by the F50.

The tricky conditions certainly tease exciting racing this weekend, and there is sure to be even more drama following this early capsize by the Danes.

For the Vikings, the hope is their F50 survived the capsize relatively unscathed to ensure they can race in front of their home crowd in just a few days' time.
