The Spain SailGP Team will take part in Race Day 2 of the ROCKWOOL Denmark Sail Grand Prix after missing the entire opening day in Aarhus due to F50 damage.

The Spanish F50 Victoria capsized just an hour before racing began on Friday, sustaining damage to its foil severe enough to rule Phil Robertson's team out all three fleet races in Aarhus.

Thankfully, SailGP crew have managed to repair the foil ahead of Race Day 2, with Spain set to partake in the two remaining fleet races - and possibly the Final if they overcome the odds to qualify for it.

However, given Spain were recorded DNS for each of Friday's three races, which means they were scored zero points for each race, it is unlikely they will qualify for the winner-takes-all Final.

The Spanish team currently sit last place in the event rankings, and can only claim a maximum 20 points if they win both of Saturday's fleet races. Australia, the event leaders heading into Race Day 2, already have 18 points, while Great Britain and the United States sit second and third with 17 and 16 points respectively.

Despite the small likelihood of qualifying for the Final, Robertson and his team will still do their best to climb Spain up the rankings on Race Day 2, as each position higher a team finishes at an event is an extra point gained in the Season Championship.
