Tickets are selling fast for the inaugural Sydney SailGP, with just two weeks to go until the fastest, most technologically advanced race boats in the world hit Sydney Harbour for a spectacular show on February 15-16.
Australians will be the first in the world to witness the revolutionary new F50s of Australia, China, France, Great Britain, Japan and the United States, ripping across Sydney Harbour at up to 100kph, over two days of intense, in-shore racing.
Sports lovers have a limited time left to get their hands on all-inclusive tickets to Shark Island, positioned at the very heart of the action and offering spectators one of the most thrilling vantage points of the racecourse.
Starting at $249, Sydney SailGP tickets for Shark Island include shore-to-shore boat transfers to the beautiful island from Man o' War Steps next to the Sydney Opera House, a deluxe gourmet food hamper and access to an open bar, flowing with premium wine, beer and soft drinks. A Pimms bar and island DJ complete the exclusive experience for spectators.
Live commentary, as well as coverage of the race on giant screens, will bring the racing to life from every angle, while spectators enjoy the race in style, from the best seat in the house.
The first-ever race in this major new international sporting championship, will see Olympic hero and America’s Cup winner Tom Slingsby lead Australia’s crew, competing against rival national teams for a coveted $1 million prize. While Australian fans will be treated to this world-first, Sydney SailGP will be followed by races in San Francisco, New York City, Cowes (UK) and Marseille (France), where the champion will be crowned.
