While many were skeptical about its move to enter the predictions scene, a lot of traders were also keen to find a Coinbase Predictions promo code. But to cut your expectations short, you don’t actually need one to begin with.
New traders can collect up to $2,000 in Bitcoin after making a first single crypto purchase of $50 or more. There are a few more promotions you could take advantage of, including a referral bonus and learning rewards. I’ll be highlighting all that’s on offer, how to claim them, and the prediction markets you can trade on.

Is there a Coinbase Predictions sign up bonus for new US traders?
It’s rare for traders to expect a welcome bonus upon joining Coinbase, and that’s fine. In fact, the welcome bonus on the site is only available for users in the United States who signed up for a new account. The bonus itself, however, isn’t a prediction-specific one, meaning it works more like a general bonus for newly registered players.
If you’re at least 18 years old and physically present in any US state except Nevada, you’ll have access to a welcome bonus of up to $2,000 in Bitcoin. To access this bonus, I had to sign up, get verified, and purchase at least $50 worth of crypto in one go. Just remember that what you’ll receive is totally random, and splitting your first crypto purchase into smaller portions may lead you to miss out on the offer.
$2,000 is a pretty generous offer, but only 1% of new traders receive either $1,000 or the full $2,000. The vast majority of traders, that’s 99%, receive anywhere between $10 and $100. That’s still a good start in my books, as the Bitcoin reward can be converted before being used for Coinbase Predictions. If you want a prediction-specific bonus, you might want to check out the current Crypto.com promo code offer.

Coinbase Predictions uses USD and USDC, so you’ll have to convert your Bitcoin bonus at the prevailing market rate to USD or USDC before you can use it to purchase event contracts.
What can you use your Coinbase bonus on?
Coinbase is well-known as a top crypto exchange, but its prediction markets are just as extensive. As I mentioned in my Coinbase Predictions review, there are thousands of prediction markets spanning 14 broad categories.
These include politics, crypto, sports, the economy, weather, and culture. Here’s a table that sums up some of the market types and example contracts, just to give you an idea of what to expect.
| Category | Contract example |
| Politics | When will traffic at the Strait of Hormuz return to normal? |
| Sports | 2027 Pro Football Champion |
| Culture | Who will win Best Picture at the Oscars? |
| Crypto | When will Bitcoin cross $100K again? |
| Economy | Number of rate cuts in 2026 |
| Weather | What will be the name of the first hurricane in the Atlantic this year? |
Each market asks a simple question and has Yes/No event contracts. You then have to choose Yes contracts if you believe the event will happen in the future, or No contracts if you think it won’t. Event contracts have very low prices ranging from $0.01 to $0.99, and the price is an indication of what the market, which means other traders on Coinbase Predictions, thinks could happen.
- Take an example question: Will Bitcoin go above $100,000 by the end of 2026?
If Yes contracts are trading at $0.23, it means the market views Bitcoin as having a 23% chance of going above $100,000 by the end of 2026. When the market resolves, which means when it happens in real life, correct contracts will be worth $1 each, and you make a profit. However, incorrect contracts settle at $0, meaning you’ll lose what you spent to purchase them. However, you aren’t locked into a position. You can choose to sell your contracts at prevailing prices rather than waiting for the event to occur.

Coinbase Predictions bonuses for returning traders
There are a few more promotions available, and none require a Coinbase Predictions promo code. But if you want access to even more promos and prediction markets, you might be interested in the latest Kalshi promo code offer.
That said, here are the other promotions I spotted at Coinbase.
Coinbase referral bonus
There are two types of referral programs at Coinbase. The first is the standard referral program, where you and your invited friend can receive $30 in Bitcoin. To get this bonus, your friend has to sign up using your link and purchase at least $20 worth of crypto.
The second is the advanced referral bonus, and the friend you invite has to trade on Coinbase Advanced. If your friend’s trading volume is more than $100 within their first 14 days, you’ll get a reward.
Here’s how it’s calculated:
| Trading volume within the first 14 days | Reward |
| More than $100 to $5,000 | $5 |
| More than $5,000 to $10,000 | $20 |
| More than $10,000 | $50 |
This isn’t a Coinbase Predictions bonus either, unlike the bonus I received using the latest Polymarket promo code when I joined the site. But your Coinbase referral bonus can be converted to USDC or USD and used to make predictions.
Coinbase learning rewards
There’s a bonus just for watching short lessons in the Learn section and completing simple tasks. These bonuses are quite small, but event contract prices drop as low as $0.01, so I found the rewards to be very useful in checking out new markets. My Gemini promo code review also has a few more prediction-based bonuses you might be interested in.
Pros and cons of Coinbase Predictions bonuses
Coinbase has a decent lineup of promotions, but there are a few hits and misses to be aware of.
Pros and Cons - Generous first-purchase offer
- Plenty of bonuses to choose from
- Easy-to-claim process for traders
- No prediction-specific offer
There’s no need to scour the internet for Coinbase Predictions bonus codes because none is required right now. And that’s a good thing since you just have to sign up, verify your identity, and make a deposit of at least $50 for a chance to collect a random bonus of up to $2,000 in Bitcoin. You’ll also have access to the referral bonus and Learning rewards that give you a little more funds for your trades.
Ready to get yours? It’s easy. Just click the banners on this page to visit Coinbase, sign up, and start claiming the available promotions.
