Grab an exclusive bonus for prediction trading
As with the Lakers and their head coaches, things are always changing on Plus500. At the time of writing, newcomers are welcomed with an exclusive sign up promo. Currently, there is a Trade $10 Get $20 prediction market offer using the code posted on the platform. I observed that many prediction platforms lack dedicated welcome offers. So, it is nice that Plus500 has one for newbies.
In my experience, claiming this offer is quick and easy. Once you register, you should make $10 in prediction trades for any outcome. As soon as your initial prediction position is settled (win or lose), you will unlock the $20 reward. Just a heads up: this offer is valid for the first 5,000 users. Therefore, you need to be on the ball from the get-go.
One interesting feature of the promos is the lack of existing prediction trader rewards. I did not find any referral bonuses or incentive programs. I hope that this is improved on in the future. For now, head over to my Plus500 bonus review. I have shared the deets on how to claim and use the sign up offer.
Is Plus500 a legitimate prediction site?
Everything is above board on Plus500, so no need to look over your shoulder. Plus500 is a legitimate prediction market site. The platform is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
As a CFTC-regulated platform, prediction trading is federally permitted in most US states. However, please note that prediction trading may vary by state. For example, sports prediction contracts are permitted in 32 US states, including Kansas and Florida.
Unlike many other sites, Plus500 is not a Designated Contract Market (DCM). Instead, the platform is a registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). I learned that Plus500 has partnered with Kalshi to provide the prediction markets on the site.
While researching the legal background, I also evaluated the security measures. The good news is that the safety of prediction traders is prioritized. There are password-protected accounts, KYC checks and an encrypted banking platform. Overall, there are no scams when buying and selling prediction positions.
Overview of the prediction trading experience
I have been using prediction sites for a while now. I found that the prediction trading experience on Plus500 is similar to other platforms. As touched on, the platform has partnered with Kalshi to use the Kalshi prediction exchange.

Thus, you will also incur an exchange fee when entering a prediction position. Below is a breakdown of the main markets and fees to expect.
Types of future event prediction contracts
While Plus500 offers different futures trading, prediction markets are categorized into six broad future event options. The six main prediction outcomes are sports, political, crypto, economic, cultural, and climate.
Each of these has different types of markets. Most prediction contracts have high volumes, so you can close prediction positions early.
Below is a list of the main types of markets you will find:
- Sports – Live markets, match winners, championships, MVPs
- Politics – Local and foreign elections, court decisions, Congress, Trump news
- Crypto – Daily, hourly and annual token projections
- Economic – Macro indicators, Fed decisions
- Culture – TV shows, movies, music charts, awards winners, celeb news
- Climate – Snow and rainfall, climate change, natural disasters, daily temperatures
Prediction trading fees
I observed that market prices work the same as other sites. You make binary predictions (Yes or No). All prediction contracts range from $0.01 to $0.99. Winning outcomes settle at $1, while losing prediction positions close at $0.
The prediction trading fees on Plus500 include both a service fee and an exchange fee. For every open prediction position, there is a $0.01 service fee and a $.01 exchange fee. If you hold your prediction position till natural settlement, there is no additional fee. However, if you close early, there is an additional $0.01 service fee and $0.01 exchange fee.
Safe and secure payment methods
Thanks to an encrypted banking platform, payment methods are safe and secure. Plus500 is a FIAT-only platform, so you cannot use cryptocurrency to deposit or withdraw. The permitted payment methods cover debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer. The minimum deposit is $10, and all payments are processed instantly.
You will only be allowed to withdraw once your account is KYC-approved. Therefore, make sure you submit your proof of ID and address in advance. The first withdrawal every calendar month is free. According to the terms, every subsequent withdrawal has a 1.75% processing fee. I observed that non-trading fees are common with prediction sites. So, this fee is not a big issue.
The 1.75% withdrawal fee is capped at $150. In my experience, you can withdraw to your registered bank account. FYI, all withdrawals are processed within five working days.
The desktop website is easy to use
Plus500 is a bit like McDonald’s: almost everyone has heard of the name. Its familiar blue-and-white branding immediately comes to mind, and I was pleased to see that the prediction markets keep the same look. You can also access the prediction market directly from the banner on the desktop site, so it only takes a click to get there.
Browsing the desktop website is easy. Everything is categorized and has its place. You will find the informational toolkits at the bottom, and at the top are the different markets. A nice touch is the addition of a search tool. This makes it easy to find specific markets.
I spent time on each section of the website. Everything loaded quickly, and pages were clutter-free. Overall, I would rate the desktop website a solid 9/10 for usability, look and feel.
Make prediction trades while out and about
If you’re on the move, you can still make prediction trades from your phone. Plus500 has dedicated apps available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, giving you access to prediction markets without needing a desktop. The apps offer the same core trading experience, so you won’t miss the main features when switching between devices.
You can also use the mobile-optimised website if you prefer not to download an app. It works across most Android and iOS devices and gives you access to prediction markets and customer support from your mobile browser. Just enter the Plus500 website address, wait for the page to load, and select the Prediction Markets banner to get started.
Okay, I need you to lock in quickly. In my experience, for the best mobile prediction trading experience, ensure you have a stable internet connection. This way, there will be no long loading times.
The customer support agents are on the ball
If you get into a pickle, the good news is that the customer service is on point. First, you should check out the Help Center, as it covers several topics. The FAQs are to the point and clearly explained.
Instant support is available with the live chat. It only takes a few minutes for the agents to join the chat. Thereafter, the interaction times are much quicker. You can also email the team. While not as fast as live chat, the agents do provide detailed responses.
Plus500 is also active on social media. So, keep an eye on X, Facebook, Telegram, and Instagram. I messaged the X account and received feedback within two hours. In my experience, the support agents are on the ball, friendly and knowledgeable.
Verdict – Plus500 is a top choice for prediction traders in the US
As you can see, Plus500 is a top choice for prediction traders. When the site first launched, it was a work in progress. Over the months, things have improved. Now, I believe Plus500 provides prediction traders with a comprehensive experience.
There is an exclusive welcome reward which gets you off to a fast start. Prediction trading covers all bases, including sports, crypto and economic outcomes. You can also make prediction trades while out and about.
Of course, there is still room for improvement. I would like to see some existing prediction trader rewards. Should VIP perks and referral offers become available, keep an eye on the banners for the details.
Why not give the platform a go and see first-hand how to buy and sell prediction positions? Signing up is straightforward. If you are quick, you could even unlock a Trade $10 Get $20 sign up bonus. Feel free to use the links or banners on this page to get started.
