Is Prizepicks Predict legit?

When it comes to reviewing apps like Prizepicks for predictions, the first thing I always do is check the legitimacy of the brand and what it does to protect its customers.

Regulatory compliance

I am confident that Prizepicks Predict can legitimately operate in the US – its team and culture predictions are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, of whom it is registered with, and the brand is also an NFA (National Futures Association) member. From what I can see, it is available to anyone over 18 and should be legal in all 50 US states at this point in time.

Security

The security of the Prizepicks Predict app is also spot on, and I always felt secure while using it. I believe that they have geoblocking technology to prevent anyone even downloading the app outside of the US, and there is also a thorough sign up process which includes several verification steps. I also saw plenty of important documentation including a privacy policy, terms or service, accessibility statement, and an option to change your privacy choices.

Payment methods

With my Underdog Predict review, I found they had a decent selection of payment methods, and Prizepicks Predict offers something similar. I have been able to deposit and withdraw using debit cards, instant bank transfer, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards. Please be aware though that you might be able to see different payment methods depending on the state you are accessing the app from.

For prediction trading fees, Prizepicks Predict operates a variable fee structure that depends on the buying price of the trade contract itself. You can find a full breakdown on their site, but I’ve given some examples below:

• $0.02 trade contract = $0.010 fee.
• $0.20 trade contract = $0.020 fee.
• $0.85 trade contract = $0.020 fee.

Essentially, there is a $0.020 trading fee for most predictions, but for incredibly low-priced contracts, the fee is lower.

Customer support

I found the Prizepicks Predict app easy to use, and I never had to use the support options. BUT, I still tested them regardless to check on the quality of the help I received, and the response times.

Currently, you should be able to get help via email, a live chat, or the Prizepicks support X profile. The live chat looks to be available 24/7 via both the website or the mobile app, and the times that I tested it, I was able to speak to someone within 10 minutes max which is fine. Email support is slower, and in some instances I was waiting up to 24 hours for a reply.

What predictions markets did I find at Prizepicks Predict?

The first thing I found out about Prizepicks Predict is that it has a specialized/niche set of prediction markets and it is NOT a general prediction exchange. Where other sites cover a huge range of categories including business, crypto, and commodities, Prizepicks Predict keeps it simple and currently only offers the following:

• Sports – MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS, WNBA.
• Culture – Awards ceremonies.

I think they have done this to match their existing user base and to appeal to the types of customers they want to attract. Remember that Prizepicks is primarily known as being one of the best DFS apps in the US. Because of that, sports and culture predictions are a natural fit, and I think that if they added anything else it would be too jarring compared to their brand identity.

SO, if you are looking for a diverse set of predictions, this might NOT be the site for you. It DOES do a great job with its sports predictions though, and I like that they have markets for the following stats/options, for team-based events.

• Overall winners.
• Spreads.
• Over/under.
• Futures.

For me, I had the most fun with the NBA prediction markets as I’m a basketball fan, and I think this is one of the best features of their prediction offering, alongside NFL and MLB.

Did I find the Prizepicks Predict app easy to use?

Similar to what I did in my Kalshi review, I spent a decent amount of time checking the usability of Prizepicks Predict. In terms of its desktop website, there is only really the main landing page. From my testing, I was never able to use the website to create an account, access the predictions, or do anything else. Instead, there are multiple links and QR codes to download the mobile apps instead.

This could be an issue for some people, but I think largely that Prizepicks is known as a mobile DFS product anyway. Plus, the quality of both of the mobile apps are excellent and they have the following store ratings:

• Google Play Store: 4.2 star rating from 70,000+ reviews.
• App Store: 4.7 star rating from 480,000+ reviews.

I think it’s one of the best apps for prediction trading, and I found it especially easy to use – it has a brilliant design, a smooth interface, and I really like how they present the different team and culture predictions. For those new to prediction trading, I think Prizepicks Predict will be much easier to get into – it’s more user-friendly compared to more traditional exchanges.

Does Prizepicks Predict offer any promotions?

As I said in my alternative Prizepicks Predict promo code guide, at this point in time I’ve not really found any specific prediction-based promos. There IS a potential signup offer, BUT, it’s for the daily fantasy sports section of Prizepicks, and you can get the following:

Overall, I think Prizepicks Predict has a solid offering. The main thing to remember though, is that it is currently more of a niche P2P prediction exchange. It doesn’t have the same variety of prediction markets as other brands, but it DOES do an excellent job with its sports predictions, especially the NBA, MLB, and NFL.
