AI is everywhere right now and it’s being utilized in virtually every business model you can think of, and this holds true for prediction trading too. An ever-growing category we’ve found is AI prediction markets.
These are predictions relating to the popularity and value of AI models and AI products, plus emerging companies investing in AI tech. Below, we use our knowledge of this subject to introduce you to these types of AI prediction markets and how you can buy/sell event contracts. We also have a few site recommendations where you can trade them.
The Best Sites for Tech Prediction Markets
How do AI predictions markets work at P2P prediction trading exchanges?
AI predictions are simply a type of P2P prediction that you can trade at relevant exchanges and the subject of the prediction has a focus on some aspect of AI technology. This could be AI models, the companies behind the AI products, and company valuations, for example. For each AI prediction, you will have a series of event contracts, and they will commonly be yes or no answers.
For example:
“When will Google release Gemini 3.5 Pro?” Before August 16th, 2026:
In this scenario, we have a prediction relating to Google’s Gemini AI product, and you can buy yes event contracts for it at 50c each, or no event contract at 56c each. The event contracts are what you can buy, sell, and hold, and they have a basic value of $1.
If you hold your event contracts until the event happens, and you got the prediction right, you’ll typically get a $1 return for each one. However, there’s also the potential that you get the prediction wrong, in which instance you’ll get $0 return for each one you held.
This is the basic premise of how AI prediction markets work and they are just one of many different prediction categories that you can check out at the top sites, with other genres including politics, crypto, sports, tech, business, weather, culture, and the economy.
Pros and cons of AI prediction markets
Similar to stock price prediction markets, AI predictions have their pros and cons and they are not perfect by any means. On the positive side, they are widely available and supported by the best P2P prediction trading exchanges. Additionally, because of the popularity and prominence of AI, you can usually expect a high trade volume and liquidity for your event contracts.
However, on the downside, unless you really have insider knowledge or keep up to date with AI developments, this is still widely considered to be a niche subject, and it can be difficult to make inroads into it, and to be an effective trader without a great deal of time and research.
Pros and Cons - Widely available at the top sites
- High trading volume
- They usually have good liquidity
- Both short and long term options
- Requires specialist research
Examples of the types of AI prediction markets you can trade
To give you a better idea of AI prediction markets, let’s take a closer look at the general types of predictions you can find. Different sites will have different availability, but we’ve found that you can usually trade the following:
- Top-ranked AI models.
- Most powerful AI companies.
- AI company valuations.
- General AI market predictions.
- AI IPO and acquisition predictions.
- Yearly and monthly AI model predictions.
As you can see, these are generally split into AI models prediction markets (i.e. the AI products that the company develops), and AI company prediction markets. There can also be general AI industry predictions, and even complementary predictions relating to things connected with AI such as laws, regulations, and the price of server hardware.
To make things even clearer, in the below table we’ve picked out some AI predictions that were live at the time we created this guide. These were taken from three prominent exchanges, but just be aware that the predictions may no longer be available when you read this, and/or their prices may have changed:

| Will Anthropic’s valuation hit $1.5T by December 31st? | Polymarket | 70c | 32c |

Three top sites for the best AI model prediction markets
AI predictions are still a relatively emerging type of market, but they feature prominently at three of the top P2P exchanges – Kalshi, Polymarket, and Crypto.com. Below, we’ve given you an introduction to each brand and the types of AI prediction markets you can expect.
Kalshi – great for long term AI predictions
Kalshi: Pros & Cons - Broad range of markets
- 24/7 live chat support
- Huge reputation
- Native mobile app
Like we stated in our Kalshi review, this is easily the most popular P2P prediction trading exchange in the US and it benefits from having a huge customer base and some of the best trade volume you can find. It also offers a variable fee structure based on a specific formula which means on average you pay around $0.02 or less for your trades.
For AI prediction markets, Kalshi has some of the best long term options available. This includes annual predictions for AI models, AI company valuations, and major events/industry predictions that will happen at the turn of the year. We’ve also found plenty of short term options relating to monthly AI model rankings. Aside from AI predictions, Kalshi also offers loads of other markets including crypto, science, sports, politics, economics, and commodities.
Polymarket – top pick for AI company valuation predictions
Polymarket: Pros and Cons - Numerous markets on sports, crypto, the economy, and politics
- Regulated by the CFTC
- Multiple rewards for existing traders
At Polymarket, you can trade predictions relating to the actual valuation of the top AI companies including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and Claude. They are also one of the only exchanges to offer country-specific predictions. For example, when writing this guide, we saw a range of predictions relating to the best AI companies in China. On top of these direct predictions, Polymarket has complementary markets for things like the rental price of GPUs which are a core part of the AI pipeline.
In terms of the site itself and what US customers can expect, one thing to remember is that you will only be able to credit your account and make trades via the Polymarket apps – the desktop website is currently view-only for US residents. The apps work fantastically though, and they should give you a smooth and enjoyable trading experience which we’ve talked about in our Polymarket review.
Crypto.com: Pros and Cons - Welcome bonus
- Broad range of markets
- High-performance mobile app
Crypto.com has the backing and features of the already established trading site and other financial services that it offers, but we have also always been impressed with the prediction trading exchange that it has additionally built. The website looks great, and it has two of the better prediction trading apps you can find which will give you access to all the different crypto.com features.
When it comes to AI prediction markets, this is one of the few sites that has options for IPO releases and IPO comparisons/timeframes between the top AI companies. Admittedly, it does have a slightly smaller range of AI predictions compared to Kalshi and Polymarket, but it does have other features like its set fee structure, superb site security, and versatile banking setup where you can credit your account using a range of different cryptocurrencies or even fiat payment methods.
Sponsored by Crypto.com – Not investment advice. Trading prediction markets and crypto involves risk, including potential loss of your stake. Consider your risk tolerance before participating. Crypto.com connects U.S. users to CDNA (regulated by CFTC) for derivatives trading. CDNA membership required. Trading may not be suitable for all—you could lose your entire investment plus fees. Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to trade.
Conclusion – AI predictions will only become more prevalent in time
As the popularity and exposure of AI continues to rise, we expect that AI prediction markets will expand too. Right now there is already a solid collection of predictions relating to AI companies, company valuations, and the popularity of AI models, but we foresee that more topics and predictions types will be added as more interest is garnered.
If you want to get involved in these tech prediction markets, you can do so at Kalshi, Crypto.com, and Polymarket. From our experience, these three sites are some of the best for AI predictions, and you can sign up at any of them using the banners we’ve got on this page.
