As the F1 calendar makes its way to the halfway point, all the sports prediction market sites turn their attention to the Hungaroring for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix. It’s a race with heavy implications for this season’s Drivers’ Championship.
As of this moment, Kimi Antonielli is the favorite both to take the overall title and also to win this race, but he’s unlikely to have things all his own way on the Hungaroring tarmac as this has been fertile ground for Ferraris in the past. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be aiming to eat into the Mercedes driver’s lead.

Antonelli has won six of the first ten races of the season, and comes into this one with a 45-point lead over nearest competitor Hamilton. The main prediction markets providers seem pretty convinced that the Italian will take the overall title this season, but a win here for another driver could change things, particularly if Antonelli repeats his bad luck from the British and Barcelona GPs, where car trouble prevented him from taking any points at all. Time is running out for last year’s champion, British-Belgian driver Lando Norris, meanwhile. He sits in fifth place, more than 100 points behind the leader, and aside from a 2nd place in Miami has not yet finished above fifth in any other race this season. He’s not expected to make life hard for the leaders here, either, judging from sports prediction markets.
