Abu Dhabi is the venue for this UFC Fight Night, with the showdown between Magomed Ankalaev and Bogdan Guskov one of the more interesting bouts on the card. UFC prediction markets will be busy for this contest.
Ankalaev starts as a comfortable favorite for the battle, having initially been slated to face Khalil Rountree Jr. With Rountree having to pull out due to injury, Guskov was scrambled to replace him at short notice and, while he starts as the underdog, his 18-3-1 record indicates that he’s not here to play a bit-part role.
The story behind the fight
Ankalaev was preparing for a bout with Rountree up until two weeks ago, when the American withdrew from the contest citing an undisclosed injury. Guskov, who was due to face Jan Blachowicz next week, was hastily called upon to provide opposition for the Russian fighter. It’s understandable that Guskov has been chosen in this capacity; like Rountree, he is a very dynamic fighter who will provide a lot of the same challenges to the favorite here. Naturally, prediction markets still see Ankalaev as the likely winner; you don’t get called up as stand-in if you’re among the elite ranks, but Guskov still has the chance to make an impact here.
Best prediction markets for Ankalaev vs Guskov
Even if this isn’t the bout we were all initially looking forward to, there has nonetheless been plenty of action on the sports prediction markets ahead of this fight night, and here we take a look at some of the platforms you can check out for the evening’s action.
Kalshi – best for diverse markets
Kalshi: Pros & Cons - Broad range of markets
- 24/7 live chat support
- Huge reputation
- Native mobile app
Anyone can relatively accurately predict whether fighter A or fighter B will prevail in a bout where there are only two competitors, especially if one is heavily favored. This is a major reason why people enjoy Kalshi’s more diverse market coverage. As well as predicting the outright result, they offer the chance to make a call on other potential outcomes, such as how the fight will be decided, in which round, and other potential markets. Our Kalshi review makes extensive mention of this and other qualities shown by the platform, including its $10 signup offer for new customers.
Polymarket – best for main markets
Polymarket: Pros and Cons - Numerous markets on sports, crypto, the economy, and politics
- Regulated by the CFTC
- Multiple rewards for existing traders
Whether you have a prediction on politics, the weather, or indeed a UFC Fight Night, you will surely be able to find a market for it on Polymarket. One of the most prominent prediction market platforms of all, Polymarket has quickly gained a reputation as a reliable place to find prices for all sorts of events, and plenty of liquidity to ensure deals can be completed. As our Polymarket review underlines, this is a site where you can expect to find the important markets first, and for UFC fights like this one it also has plenty of depth – plus a $50 signup offer that is accessible with our PREDICTSAIL promo code.
Crypto.com: Pros and Cons - Welcome bonus
- Broad range of markets
- High-performance mobile app
In truth, Crypto.com is more than just a prediction market platform and it is worth bearing that in mind when comparing it to other sites. Some users have indicated that it lacks the market depth that is present on other sites, and that is probably true – but then, Crypto.com is also handling crypto trading and more general market trading, too. That doesn’t mean there’s no point signing up for its bonus, which can be picked up without a Crypto.com promo code; the markets are certainly broad enough to give you options, and the site accepts more than 350 different crypto coins.
