The City of Sails’ long-awaited SailGP debut promises high-octane racing action in front of some of the most passionate fans in the world as the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix | Auckland takes place on January 18-19.

The ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix is expecting unprecedented demand from Auckland’s own passionate racing fans and visitors alike.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, 25 September, with a range of on-land and on-water experiences outlined below.

Waterfront Grandstand

Elevated allocated Grandstand seating in the shoreside Race Stadium ensures fans are close enough to smell the salt as the high-tech, high-speed flying F50s do battle just metres from downtown Auckland on the Waitematā Harbour.

Back hometown heroes the Black Foils led by local legends Peter Burling and Blair Tuke while enjoying live race commentary from a dedicated MC and post-racing entertainment for an unforgettable racing experience.

Watch the high-speed action on the Waitematā Harbour from your own boat - with a Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB) premium flag. Recreational boat owners can secure an incredible viewing position inside the public Exclusion Zone - ensuring the best vantage point to watch the action!

Your BYOB flag includes:

• A souvenir SailGP Bring Your Own Boat flag for your boat.
• Exclusive views on both days of racing, plus live VHF race commentary.

BYOB flags are valid for both days of the event - 18 & 19 January 2025.

Boats without a flag will be held outside of the Exclusion Zone during racing. Vessels must be under 80 feet to be eligible. BYOB flags cannot be used for commercial purposes.
