United States claims first ever event victory, beating New Zealand and Great Britain in the Saint-Tropez Final to get its Championship campaign back on track

There were two drastically contasting race days in the Côte d'Azur, as Saturday saw incredibly strong winds - resulting in France breaking the SailGP speed record - while Sunday brought extremely light air which Jimmy Spithill mastered to drive the U.S. to victory.

The United States showed excellent consistency on Race Day 1 before winning the only completed Fleet Race on Day 2 to qualify for the Final, with the Kiwis and Brits beaten in the winner-takes-all showdown to claim Spithill's team their maiden victory in SailGP.
