Waterfront Premium
Watch all the action from the comfort of an elevated position in the bleachers. Situated on the outer end of Navy Pier, from this vantage point you will have spectacular views of the race course with a front row seat to the racing and big screens accompanied by live race commentary and a complimentary meal & drink.

Waterfront Access
Located within the race village on Navy Pier, the waterfront spectator experience will offer views of the high-speed foiling F50 catamarans as they take flight on Lake Michigan. Waterfront Access guests will be treated to live race commentary, concession stands, an awards ceremony, and a dedicated fan shop stocking league and team merchandise, including must-haves such as caps, tote bags, limited edition event t-shirts and much more.

Purchasing a premium SailGP flag will get you the closest and best view of the action from your own boat. This package includes:

Register for free to bring your own boat. Once registered, you will receive an e-newsletter with all the essential racecourse details. Your boat will be positioned approximately 100 meters outside the Bring Your Own Boat Premium boats that will be located on the racecourse boundary. Live commentary will be provided over VHF.

How do I get my tickets?
Tickets will be emailed to you at the time of purchase. Tickets will be scanned at the gates for fast entry - either on your mobile device or printed.
When does the racing take place?
Racing takes place from 15:00 - 16:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Three races are scheduled per day and a racecourse boundary will be in place each day starting one hour prior to racing.
What happens if the event is canceled due to COVID-19 or other reasons?
Should SailGP cancel the event, information about refund options will be issued at the place of purchase.

What and Where?
Chicago SailGP Official Spectator Boats depart from Navy Pier | 600 East Grand Avenue, Chicago. Please present your ticket to gain entrance. You will need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure and bring valid photo identification, as the venue reserves the right to require it for entry.
We regret that the vessel cannot wait for late arrivals. Unauthorized duplication or sale of your ticket may prevent you from being admitted into the event.

The boats depart at 13:00 and return at 16:00
Public Transportation
We encourage the use of public transportation where possible.
What is prohibited on the boat?

Can we bring our own drinks?
Drinks may not be brought onboard. All vessels are licensed premises with bar facilities available.
Do the spectator boats provide food & beverages during the cruise?
A selection of canapés are served onboard, which are sourced locally and sustainably. Beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks, will be complimentary as a part of your experience. It is unlawful to bring alcohol aboard.
Is wheelchair access available?
Yes, wheelchair access is available. Please inform us during the booking process.

Are there facilities for children?
All children under 18 years must be escorted by adults. Children are welcome aboard vessels, however, please keep in mind that you are on the water for several hours and sometimes children do get restless. Infants under 4 years are free of charge but must be registered when booking tickets.
What if it is raining or the weather is bad?
The Official Spectator Boats will operate regardless of the weather. Vessel features include comfortable all-weather lounges with expansive viewing windows. Should the event be canceled for any reason you will be contacted with further details.
Are seats assigned?
There is no assigned seating, guests can move freely around the vessel.
What is the dress code?
Smart casual
Are Cameras allowed?
No cameras are allowed, except those on smartphones.
Photography
- Media and professional photographers must arrange accreditation through chicago@sailgp.com for access into media locations.
- There might be photography and filming taking place on spectator boats. If you do not wish to be captured please notify a member of our crew.
- Please be mindful of those around you and respect their privacy.

No. Smoking is not allowed on our boats at any time.

Date changes, refunds, cruise credits and cancellations are not permitted. 100% cancellation fee applies to all bookings.
