How do I get to and from the Shark Island Experience?
All ferries will depart Man O War Steps, Sydney Opera House (east).
To ensure smooth sailing, please arrive 45 mins before the event start time. That way we can get you on your way to Shark Island quickly. There will be three ferries in operation which will depart at intervals of 15 minutes. To optimise your time on the Island you may want to ensure you arrive early and board the first ferry.
Please note: to provide the best experience possible, our departure times are strictly observed and we cannot wait for late-comers. So please ensure you allow extra travel time on your journey to the Man O War steps to avoid delays.
Due to the Roads & Maritime Services enforced exclusion zone, no water Taxis or private vessels will be able to cross through to Shark Island after 3 pm on Friday 15 February and after 2pm on Saturday 16 February. Missing the last ferry may result in you being unable to access the official viewing area on Shark Island. You will not be provided with a refund for missing the scheduled ferry.
