Sailing has always been a huge part of Thomas Le Breton’s life. Coming from a sailing family, he first went afloat when he was four months old and competed in his first regatta at 11. He went on to spend eleven years in the French Navy.
Le Breton has mastered a number of sailing disciplines, participating in three Olympic campaigns and competing in 15 world championships.
A natural progression was into the world of the America’s Cup and big boat sailing. Competing on the extraordinary 70 foot giant trimarans (MOD70) and with Team France in the 35th America’s Cup.
Le Breton has two children and in his spare time enjoys cruising with his family, cycling and cooking.
“The one-design element of SailGP will produce some very close and spectacular racing that I am excited to be a part of.”
