Diamond grew up in Warsash, on the south coast of England, learning to sail at age 6 in Optimists. Diamond’s first international competition was at age 12, where she represented Great Britain at the European and World Championships and won the Female Youth European Championships in the double handed 29er class. Diamond then quickly progressed to the single-handed Radial, making her first Senior Olympic class debut at age 19.

For the 2016 Olympic Games, Diamond led a campaign in the mixed Nacra 17 class, taking home Silver at the World Championship and many other international medals ahead of the games. After unfortunately missing out on selection for the Olympic Games, Diamond moved to Ocean Racing.

Diamond competed with Vestas 11th Hour Racing for the 2017/2018 Volvo Ocean Race, winning the first leg, and continuing to make a dominant performance for the rest of the race. In 2019, Diamond and teammate finished second in the Rolex Fastnet in the Double Handed Class category.

Hannah loves all sports, enjoys spending time outdoors, and coaching sailing in her spare time.
