Quentin Delapierre sailed for the first time in the Gulf of Morbihan at the Cataschool in Larmor Baden in a sport catamaran before embarking on the Olympic adventure, starting with the Laser at the France pole in Brest. His formative years pushed him to set up professional projects first in J80 (European champion in 2014) and Match Racing, then on the Tour Voile where he competed in four remarkable campaigns with two victories in 2016 and 2018.
In 2018 came the opportunity to relaunch an Olympic campaign in Nacra17 with the experienced Manon Audinet. Their progression was dazzling and the duo landed their ticket for the Olympic Games only a year-and-a-half after their association. Together they put in good performances, claiming a victory in a world cup and earning the title of vice champion of Europe. Their 8th place was encouraging and pushed the racer to take up new challenges.
In October 2021, just a few weeks after the Tokyo Games, Delapierre joined SailGP as Driver and skipper of the French team, the biggest challenge of his career, which he began with envy and pragmatism.
