Sophie Steinlein began sailing at the age of five on Lake Wörthsee, Germany and started competitive sailing at seven in the Optimist class.

SailGP

Steinlein was invited to a Foiling Camp in Cadiz, which led to selection for the German SailGP Team. Steinlein is currently sharing the strategist role with Anna Barth.
