Jayet started sailing around age six in the Optimist dinghy. Age 14 she moved into the Laser 4.7 for one year before the Laser Radial, a class she still races competitively in now.
She had the Olympic dream from young age so started sailing full-time after finishing her high school studies at 18.
Jayet has been focusing on her Olympic campaign in the Laser Radial alongside her law studies. She qualified for her first Olympics games in Aarhus in 2018 - finishing 9th at the World Championship. Tokyo 2020 was her first Olympic Games and she now has her sights set on a medal at Paris 2024. Over the years, she has also sailed Flying Phantoms, Moths and J70s on Lake Geneva.
When not sailing, Jayet is still very active and enjoys anything water related - including Wing foiling! She is also a keen cyclist and skier and has a Master degrees in Law and Economics.
