SailGP
Will Ryan joins Swiss SailGP from the Australia Sail Grand Prix. Season 3 will be his first time competing in SailGP's global league but he was involved in the original commissioning of the F50 in Whangerai, New Zealand back in 2018 with Team Australia, prior to refocusing on his 2020 Olympic campaign.

Youth
Ryan first represented Australia in the 420 World Championship back in 2006. He also raced in the Laser Radial class at the 2006 Youth World Sailing Championships and finished second at the 2008 World Championships in the 29er class. Ryan was also an Australian Youth Match Racing Champion and flying Ant National Champion 2003.

Career
Ryan is an Olympic gold and silver medallist in the double handed 470 class. At RIO 2016 he won his first Olympic medal, a silver and in Tokyo he won gold. He is also a 5-times 470 World Champion and 3-times Australian Match Racing Champion.

Personal
Away from sailing Ryan still spends time on the water either kitesurfing or wing foiling and also enjoys cycling, skiing and competing in triathlons.
