SailGP
Paul Campbell-James is a SailGP veteran, and is currently part of the Canadian team - joining their set-up midway through Season 4. He has previously represented the United States. and has a wealth of experience trimming the wing on our cutting-edge F50s.
Youth
Campbell-James started sailing aged 5, and two years later was taking part in his first races. His first success came at 12 when he won the Optimist Nationals. Since then he has gone on to compete in a number of sailing classes and disciplines around the globe including the Olympic 49er, World Match Racing Tour, Optimist World Championships and the Extreme Sailing Series.
Career
Campbell-James has a wealth of knowledge in foiling catamarans. The four-time national match racing champion was one of the helmsmen for 2013 America’s Cup Challenger Luna Rossa. From there, he joined 2017 America’s Cup Challenger Land Rover BAR as wing trimmer where he won the America’s Cup World Series.
Personal
Campbell-James is married with one daughter. He has a Ship Science Aeronautical Engineering Degree from the University of Southampton and is also a licensed pilot.
