SailGP
Scott Ewing was previously a member of the United States SailGP Team in Season 2, and he returns to the crew as Grinder midway through Season 4.
Youth
Ewing started sailing Optimists when he was six-years-old at Coral Reef Yacht Club on Biscayne Bay, one of the top youth teams in the country. He joined Next Generation USA as part of the team of American sailors who competed in the 2017 Red Bull Youth America’s Cup and was selected to participate in the first ever US qualifier for the Red Bull Foiling Generation sailing competition.
Career
After a successful youth career, he shifted to the Skiff class and eventually became one of the top 49er sailors in the world, capturing the 2016 national championship and representing the United States at a number of events.
Ewing was a member of US Team Extreme in the 2018 Extreme Sailing Series in Los Cabos alongside SailGP teammates Taylor Canfield and Riley Gibbs. Additionally, he has experience in the Moth and Flying Phantom classes.
Personal
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Ewing is a diehard fan of the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins.
